The Venetian is a Las Vegas resort with gondolas inside. These gondolas can take you from the shoe department at Barney’s, to Auntie Anne’s Pretzels, to a pool surrounded by marble statues and palm trees, to a rock climbing wall, to your hotel room, which I can pretty confidently guarantee will have a sunken living room in it. This is not a normal place. My inner Veruca Salt (you know, the horrible greedy brat from Willy Wonka) began singing on my first visit. So she made it into the ads.
